Mail List format suggestion

Beeblebrox
I suspect this is not the correct list, and probably a PIA to
implement, but I'll voice my wish anyway: I would like to see
filtering options on the mail lists.

The idea is; you could log-in if you wanted, on the left would be the
lists to which you have subscribed (or all lists, with subscribed ones
in different color). Clicking on the list would bring up posts to that
list. Then you could click a box, refresh and only see what you have
marked as "follow".

Yes, completely contrary to current piper-mail-man setup, maybe
requires more complicated services (and security measures that go with
it). However, as the FreeBSD community grows, the mail list format is
bound to out-grow this format and start running into different
problems. Prepare now for what's coming, I say and maybe other
subscribers have similar wishes.

I must admit my ignorance of such things.

Nabble seems to be a server-side implementation; Is it an app
installable on the client side (does not seem so).

Is your suggestion then to replace the current mail-server with a
Nabble-like app? If not, and your suggestion is client-side, am I to
set up a Nabble account?

Sorry for being a dumb-sh**te.

No problem, I may be dumb one here :)

I'm reading most of threads through nabble archive/
nabble account, not from personal mail one.

It's more manageable and I don't accumulate
unneeded mail.

Maybe it would be useful for you too.

This post was updated on .
I created the Nabble account, but I'm afraid I need some help with it.

I assume I can post a message to a mail list through the nabble
account? But your posts, Jakub show you mail address as mailplus.pl
and not n6.nabble.com.

Thanks.

Wow... Honestly I don't know what are you
doing ;)

Most FreeBSD lists are already archived here:

http://freebsd.1045724.n5.nabble.com/

Some are missing, but I think only
"Hugo <Nabble>" can add them, maybe
I'm wrong.

You shouldn't be required to MAKE a
new "forum".

Yes, my mail adress shows here because
it's my subscription mail, I just turned of
delivery.

In the end I'm not sure if it is what you
are looking for, so I'm sorry If I misguided
you.
