Offtopic: Linus on binary compatibility

Awww, how cute, the little OS is growing up :)

Seriously, FreeBSD's ability to run binaries compiled on 3.x on 9.x is
incredibly awesome!

Now it's only a matter of time when Linus gets it that the kernel ABI
should also fall under such rules, and in just a few short years we will
have another usable / non-broken OS ;)

.. and someone should write an lkml article on the challenges in doing
exactly that.
