Hi,

Could you please boot with the "verbose" option selected from the menu,
and let us know what the last few lines are pleas?  If you are able to,
a digital photo of the screen when the machine hangs would be very
useful.

Could you also please describe the hardware - what type of machine, etc,
and whether this cansuccessfully boot previous FreeBSD versions?
