Denis Shaposhnikov-3
Hello!

Does anybody know does openjdk7 have firefix browser plugin? Actually
I'm looking for anything which'll help me to use java with firefox 3.6
which requires java6 update 10 or later.

Thanks!

So, no libjavaplugin stuff in openjdk7. Or it is disguised with totally
different names

Only the official Sun code has plugin support (for licensing reasons I
think). So try diablo-*16 or jdk16 ports.

Firefox 3.6 requires a newer plugin than the one available in
diablo-jdk16 and jdk16.

No, the browser plugin hasn't been open sourced, so its not included in
OpenJDK.  I think IcedTea has a browser plugin though, so that could
probably be ported over.  diablo-jdk16 and jdk16 both have browser plugins,
but they are both older than Update 10.

I believe that's the wrong name...  try $JAVA_HOME/bin/javaws (webstart).

But you (and others) answered the OP's question.
